About Dolly

She’s the reigning Miss Burlesque Gold Coast!  The darling doll, a modern day glamour.  A real coquette with her fly-swat eyelashes and trademark tresses!

With her classic cheesecake style and tongue in cheek humour, Dolly Cakes is Brisbane’s bump ‘n’ grind baby!

Dolly first appeared on Brisbane’s undress scene in June 2011 and shortly after became a founding member of The Pink Slips Burlesque Troupe.  June 2012 saw the launch of her solo career, which has seen Dolly go on to establish herself as a burlesque artist.

Notorious for her bawdy reincarnation of old school bump ‘n’ grind, Dolly has been described as a baby Crystal Starr, one dirty bump and grinder and earned her tagline “There’s more bounce to the ounce!”

Dolly has graced the stages of many premier burlesque events including her recent debut at the Perth World Fringe Festival 2015 and the Australian Burlesque Festival 2014.  Dolly also performed at the first Wonderland Festival 2014 at the Brisbane Powerhouse as part of Vanguard Burlesque.

Dolly was nominated for a BUSTIE in the categories of ‘Best Assets’, ‘Tidiest Hiney’ and ‘Best Troupe’ at the 2014 Australian Burlesque Community Awards.  Dolly has also leant her curves as a model for Trash Monkey at GreazeFest 2013 / 2014 and was featured in Adore Pinup Magazine.

Taking inspiration from the Golden Age of Burlesque, the Ziegfeld Follies and Minsky’s just to name a few, Dolly takes pride in delivering a perfectly polished performance that is visually pleasing with classic choreography, custom made costumes and over the top props!

Her audience describes her as captivating, engaging and a real sweetheart with that never ending smile.
